Job Summary:
As a Junior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with senior network engineers and other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our network and provide excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- 1- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- 2- Support network operations, troubleshooting issues, and resolving network incidents and outages in a timely manner.
- 3- Conduct regular network performance monitoring and analysis to identify and address potential bottlenecks or performance issues.
- 4- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- 5- Assist in the configuration and management of network security devices, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- 6- Give network status reports to chief technology officer, supervisor, and/or senior network engineer.
- 7- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- 8- Participate in network capacity planning and scalability initiatives to meet the growing demands of our customer base.
- 9- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, troubleshooting network-related problems, and ensuring timely resolution.
- 10- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security guidelines to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of network infrastructure.
- 11- Provide remote help to nearby engineers and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- - Prior experience or internship in a network engineering or related role.
- - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- - Excellent Command of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)
- - Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
- - Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve network issuesز
- - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- - Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- - Ability to think creatively and develop innovative advertising concepts.
- - Proficient in documenting network configurations, changes, and procedures accurately.
